We can all get stuck in a rut and struggle to find outfits that make us feel confident. Luckily, there are various tricks you can use to help yourself get the wow factor.

First up is working out which are the right colours for you. Your hair colour and skin tone really determine what colours suit you. Get it right and your clothes can look great on you but get it wrong and the clothes can end up ‘wearing you’ - often you will look washed out or even ill. Matching the right colours is easier if you know that suits you as the colours in the palette will be complementary to each other. A great start!

Then you need to consider the styles that a right for you. Just because something is in fashion it doesn’t mean you can wear it. Not even a supermodel can look great in everything. So knowing your body shape and the right cuts will enable you to chose clothes that will really flatter you. There are numerous tricks to learn in this area. You could choose to employ a personal stylist in london or another big city or buy a book on the subject. One of the tips for example would be to wear light colours on the bottom if you have broader shoulders and thinner legs. If you are concerned about your weight then consider vertical stripes and never wear horizontal stripes. These are just a couple of examples that show that there is a real skill to this and it’s worth investing time and money to get it right.

You also need to work out your style personality – so you reflect your true self. For example are you a romantic type? Maybe sporty? Or perhaps seeking a dramatic look?

Finally, think about your day-to-day life. If you work outdoors then delicate clothes aren’t going to work for you. Or if you are a mum then you need to think about the various spills you will encounter on an average day.

One short cut to this would be to find a personal shopper who can advise you and take you to the shops that will help you find the outfit that really work for you.

From head to toe, they make sure they nurture their bodies and adorn themselves with the most fashionable clothes, most charming jewelries, most alluring shoes and bags, and of course the best make-up just to look and feel good. But at some point in their lives, they have faced this epic problem—what clothes to wear for the season, but not your phlebotomy training classes. There are a lot of options when it comes to clothing but of course, the price and quality of the dress is of utmost importance for the fashionistas out there. Stock up your wardrobe with these quintessential pieces to make your inner fashionista shine in any occasion.

One-shoulder Dress

Having this piece is a great way to flaunt some skin during the holiday season. It lets you show your sexiness without revealing too much flesh.

Sheath Dress

A classic silhouette that never goes out of style, make sure to have a sheath dress in the right color for all your party needs. This dress is also stylish enough to make you stand out in the crowd.

Sparkly Dress

Add some pizzazz to your outfit by choosing a classic dress which has shimmery details. This is perfect for the holiday season, when everything seems to just sparkle with beauty.

Wrap Dress

This is the perfect choice for a holiday party in your office. If you are the conservative type, avoid the low-cut versions or have your handy fashion tape to do wonders for your ensemble. You may also head to your dressmaker to have the dress repaired to avoid some fashion mishaps.

Fit N’ Flare Dress

This is considered as one of the most flattering dress for any figure. It can create a waist and emphasize a small waist. You may purchase this for your holiday parties.

Sweater Dress

When the occasion calls for something that is not too formal, wear a sweater dress. You could wear it with dark-colored tights for a sophisticated and warm look.

Shirt Dress

This is a good option if you want to look polished but casual. Wear this at home during the Christmas Eve and see all eyes turn towards you.

Shift Dress

During the festivities, a shift dress will keep you comfortable and looking polished without exerting too much effort. Of course, you would not want to end up looking bloated wearing a fitted dress. Therefore, be sure to find one that gives you the perfect fit without looking too tight.

2011 is almost over and fashion analysts now start to reveal what trends we can expect from big design houses. It has been said that 2012 fashion will give more emphasis on female or lady-like styles.

Less is More in Fashion

Though it may not seem like it, the fashion industry also suffered during the economic downturn. That is why many fashion houses are now being too cautious on the type of collection that they launch. As consumers become more conscious about their spending, luxury fashion items have taken the back seat. So to protect their business and successfully survive luxury doom, big design houses are now taking steps to make their items saleable not just to the wealthy but also to the average-earners.

Just like branded clothes, luxury accessories also went a major facelift with popular brands, like Hermes, embracing anonymity. Before, a branded logo exudes opulence and offers a sense of ‘haute’ exclusivity. However, luxury brands these days are showcasing exclusivity by remaining anonymous.

Truth of the matter is a lot of big design houses and luxury brands ranging from Victoria Beckham to Celine, are now producing logo-less fashion statement items in order to thrive in the flailing market. Even Chanel has started to adapt this strategy when producing their luxury fashion pieces. Chanel’s Boy collection, for instance, does not come with the luxury brand’s signature logo ‘the double C’.

The pared down approach to luxury and branded items by big design houses is seen as a part of market growth in the high-end market. It helps them to cater to the tightening budgets of most consumers. The less-is more approach has greatly help boost the sales of branded statement pieces. Because of this, big design houses will likely hold on to this market strategy, at least, until the economy has been revived.

Great Fashion Tips To Remember

As big design houses cater to a wider audience, branded and luxury items can be availed at discounted prices. Indeed following the prevailing trends will help you to remain fashion-forward but it is not to say that you have to spend a fortune in order to do so. Looking fashionable does not require one to get those pricey and extremely expensive haute couture or branded goods. In fact, it is quite easy to look chic and classy even on a bare-bones budget.
To look fabulous without breaking the bank, it is highly suggested that you select one element to incorporate to your wardrobe. It can be a color or a trendy accessory. You do not have to follow the trend to the dot, you can actually set your own style while still exuding a great sense of fashion. Remember that being classy is not about the price of the clothes you are wearing or the shop where you bought them. You can display your excellent taste in fashion even when dressed with clothes that you bought from thrift stores, all you need is to be knowledgeable about the existing fashion trend and know how to embody them.

Although it doesn’t get nearly as much attention as women’s street fashion, menswear does change with each season. The changes are slower to occur and will usually be more subtle, but this doesn’t mean they don’t happen at all. Bear in mind that this article refers to current street fashion trends and resolutely chooses to ignore the runway madness. Were we to believe everything that major designers are trying to sell us, we’d probably end up looking bizarre to say the least. For instance, the spring/summer 2012 collections for men prominently featured fur and bold neon colours such as fuchsia. But since we doubt that your man is about to go walking the streets clad in pink, read on, for a genuine analysis of what was big in men’s fashion in 2011, and what we believe will come up as an undeniable trend. The list includes clothing items that have not been so popular until now, as well as upcoming brands to watch out for, such as Undefeated clothing.

Denim Vests

The teens, as the current decade is called by trend analysts and cool hunters everywhere, have marked a resolute return to the late 1980s and early 1990s. Think back to the heyday of U2’s Bono, as well as to the last days of the punk trend (Billy Idol, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure’s Robert Smith and so on). Then think again, to the advent of the grunge genre and its many unkempt, dishevelled, talented and tragic stars, among whom Kurt Cobain is just one name on a longer roster. Menswear in 2012 will most likely feature denim, but in forms we haven’t experienced so prominently until now. The sleeveless denim vest is about to make a huge comeback, but don’t expect anything polished or well-tailored. The 2012 denim vest is a lot like its 1980s counterpart – torn at the seams, worn out, its sleeves brutally torn off and its back inscribed upon in marker or ballpoint pen. Rock’n’roll baby!

Shirts over Tees

The trend that dictates that men wear unbuttoned or partly button shirts over sleeves also comes to us from roughly two decades ago. Luckily, though, the era of flannel shirts has set. Today’s men’s shirts are, indeed, in plaid, but the prints are smaller and the colours more subdued. Stripes are also acceptable patterns for the shirts, yet pinstripes will clearly win out over wider stripes in 2012. As for the right tee to wear underneath, it’s all a matter of choice and personal style. Alternative scenesters might opt for a V-neck t-shirt in true eighties fashion, while more understated types will probably go for a tee with a basic graphic print, such as the ones from Undefeated clothing. The key trick here is to try and match the colours and patterns on the shirt and t-shirt so you don’t end up looking like a hot mess.

Cardigans

The colder seasons have seen cardigans slowly turning into a love item for lots of men out there, over the past couple of years. 2012 will probably bring about no change whatsoever in this respect. Cardigans will continue to be big next year, with the blazer-shaped cardigan featured at the forefront of the street fashion scene. Men’s cardigans will have a smaller number of buttons than before. Double-breasted models will continue to be hot, and a slight shift away from cardigans and closer to blazers will probably start to take place as the weather changes from winter to spring.

Fashion forecast revealed that the upcoming 2012 fashion trend will be filled with feminine, frilly and frothy styles. A number of fun and eye-catching trends are expected to flood the fashion market by 2012. The good news is that the upcoming fashion collection is very much wearable.

Fashion trends for 2012 will consist of cool color combos, statement prints, cool-girl anoraks, and a lot more fabulous outfit styles that will definitely make the warm weather way hotter.

So what’s in for 2012? While female fashion trends in the past and recent seasons have been dictated by male-borrowed outfit styles, such as the military-inspired wardrobe (reminiscent of the battlefield) and the boyfriend jeans, it has been foreseen that fashion for 2012 will be more on the glamorous and feminine side.

Fashion for 2012 is all About Femininity

The feminine look will be making a comeback next year, a trend that we haven’t seen for quite a while. Basically, the fashion catch-phrase this season has FEMININITY written all over it. Dress, pants and skirts will be seen exuding artist-, scarf-, tropical- and ethnic-inspired styles. They will also come in a wide range of exciting colors ranging from the attention-grabbing neons to the more toned-down pastels.

Accessories to a Minimum

Accessories for 2012 will be kept to a minimum and will most likely be used to accentuate that feminine look. Earrings, in particular, are expected to have a big comeback. A famed fashion analyst said that no other accessory screams ultimate femininity than the earrings. Even shoes will be veering towards the delicate, lady-like styles, with pretty pumps emerging as the footwear of 2012.

The Princess Chic Trend
Princess chic clothing styles will be a massive trend for 2012 with organza, tulie, and floor length skirts combined with spandex or foxy laced tube tops being one of the outfits expected to hit the streets.

Cool Anoraks
Another great fashion trend for 2012 is the cool-girl anoraks, which exude a sporty vibe thus promising to make not just your summer but also your rainy days a lot cooler.

Bold Prints
Super bold PRINTS will also be an upcoming trend next year. From mirror-like geometric shapes, unique parrot prints, and over-sized floral prints, there are a good number of printed styles that fashion savvy individuals can choose from.

Orange and Pastels
Oranges and tangerines, meanwhile, will be a popular color for Spring 2012. If you are not into orange hues, then you will be happy to know that pastel shades will also be an upcoming trend next year. Sweet sorbet fashion shades along with the pastel hues give off a subtle, low-key and very lady-like vibe perfect for those with very conservative taste.

Most fashion savvy people these days dress to impress. And majority think that in order to look good they have to dress good, which means they have to invest in expensive clothing articles. If you are into fashion, then you must certainly heard about haute couture, which is the buzz these days particularly when it comes to high-end fashion. Haute couture is made to target the wealthy and the famous. In fact, couture clothes are mostly worn by top celebrities as well as the rich and famous.

Haute couture is very expensive but when worn will definitely make anyone feel like a queen. That is why fashionistas can’t wait to get their hands on the latest line of haute couture launched every season. However, you do not have to spend a fortune in order to look fabulous. Truth is, you can look as impressive and fab as Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, Paris Hilton and other fashion icons even on a pauper’s budget.

So how can you look fashionable on a limited budget? In fashion, there is really no rule saying that you have to always opt for couture clothes to dress fashionably. A lot of people these days have expressed their love for haute couture, but unfortunately, most of them do not have the budget to sustain this kind of fashion style. So with all this fabulousness inside, what can a you do to look impressive if you do not have the money to afford couture clothing?

Dressing Chic on the Cheap

I was once an impulsive shopper and I got drowned in a pile of credit card debt because of it. But I already learned my lesson and I have luckily settled all my credit woes. Today, I am now a smart shopper but of course I do not let my wallet dictate my taste in fashion. As my mother used to say, what matters most is not where you shop but your keen sense in fashion.

And so I turned this priceless advice into an enviable art that I would love to share to you. You will be surprised to hear my fashion secrets and the best part is that looking like a Hollywood celebrity on a typical day does not cost me that much.

Fashion Tips For Frugal Shoppers

Just because you have a restricted income does not mean you can’t dress yourself with those expensive designer clothing articles. A lot of resale and thrift shops these days feature a great collection of designer and branded clothing sold at a fraction of their actual cost. This is a real steal considering you will be able to find rare vintage jeans or your favorite Chanel dress below $20.

It is very easy to percolate the same level of fabulousness displayed by Hollywood celebrities minus the expensive price tag. All you have to do is to equip yourself with the knowledge about the latest trends on haute couture and you can dress yourself as one of those fashion elites without burning a hole on your pocket.

Being aware of the prevailing trends in fashion will help you find clothing articles from discount shops and second-hand stores that will allow you to radiate high-end fashion on a shoe-string budget. Checking out fashion items from budget-friendly brands will also allow you to dress classy and chic without having to break the bank.

The term ‘eco-fashion’ is defined by STEP (Sustainable Technology Education Project), a non-profit organization, as a stylized type of clothing that takes into serious consideration the environment as well as the health of the people who will be wearing them. This type of clothing style makes use of environment-friendly fabrics combined with clever clothing production techniques.

Alternative Eco-Materials

Bamboo, organic cotton, and tencel have all been used by eco- designers in coming up with new fashion trends. In the coming years, they will be looking into the usability of alternative clothing fabrics as well as other eco-friendly materials like tagua, tweeds, milk proteins and flannel, which will be used in creating clothes, shoes and even accessories for the fashion market.

Wool Funnel and Recycled Tires
A shoe manufacturer referred to as Simple Shoes will be ushering the use of recycled car tires and plaid wool funnel for their upcoming sneaker collection. The shoes will be shipped in recycled boxes to promote a more eco-feel.

Heritage Tweeds
Fall season is all about the use of tweeds, which is incorporated in both regular as well as eco-friendly fashion designs. Top designers, Eloise Grey, has launched her autumn collection which features the ethical heritage tweeds as the main material. Heritage tweeds were introduced in the fashion scene about two years ago.

Milk Proteins
Meanwhile, FIN – a Norwegian eco-lox brand – is currently experimenting the use of a gauze-like material, derived completely from milk proteins, in their upcoming spring and summer collection scheduled to be launched next year. One great benefit of using milk proteins as an alternative material for clothing production is the fact that it can help free up lands that can be otherwise used to grow cotton fields, the material of choice when manufacturing clothes.

Sustainable Materials for Eco-Friendly Accessories
While many designers still continue to use cotton as the primary material when producing their clothing collection, new alternative eco-friendly materials are now being introduced in the fashion industry. In fact, their use is not only limited to clothing production since they are now being utilized even in the manufacture of eco accessories. The Andrean Collection, a famed jewelry designer, will be introducing an environment friendly line of fashion-forward and colourful pieces made from sustainable materials – jabon, tagua, acai – harvested from the rainforest of South America. This new line of accessory has been previewed at the Nolcha Fashion Week in New York last September.
